sony vegas question : how do i make everything gray but my self ?

I wanna make the background gray but my self , meaning I'm still in color, similar to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHqMEuGKGoY but I want all the colors.

2. the easiest way is to shoot the background separate, and covert to BW with a filter effect in your editor. then shoot the talent normal against a chroma key screen (blue or green) and composit on your video editor. this will give you "perfect" results with simple equipment.
